St John's Beck Row is a friendly church with strong ethos of caring for the people of the village at the heart of its mission.
With strong congregational participation in a wide range of activities, and a willingness to try new things and new forms of worship, the St John’s Church family is keen to welcome new members. St John’s maintains strong links with the nearby USAF airbase as well as with World War Two veterans and their families. The church holds a special annual service to honour those who have served in US and British military forces and have links to St John’s. American servicemen and women and their families are often a welcome part of the congregation. Other features include a the largest war graves cemetery in Suffolk which is the resting place of many brave young commonwealth service personnel including the forever young Australian V.C. Middleton. Who is Pilot Officer Rawdon Hume Middleton Adjacent to the church is our large Church Hall and this is where we gather after the service for refreshments. Our Sunday service is 9.30 am second and fourth Sundays of the month. The church has a loop hearing system and toilet facilities. The church is also child friendly and has an activity area at the back of the church. |
